Does anyone else feel that it is acceptable to break out the Christmas decor before Thanksgiving has even started? Not that I do not love Thanksgiving because, hello, can you say leftovers for DAYS! But there is just something about the Christmas season that makes me want to experience it for a longer time.
So I got started early with the decor by heading to Michael’s and seeing what goodies they had for me to choose from. I love heading to Michael’s because they always have decor for different types of people. This year, they have 5 different collections that you can choose as inspiration to decorate. They have Alpine Christmas, Frosted Forest Collection, Jingle Jolly Way Collection, Boho Christmas, and the Coastal Collection. My personal favorite is the Alpine Christmas. There is just something about the rustic deer and the old red trucks that makes me think all about Christmas. For this DIY, I got inspiration from one of the projects that Michael’s has. It is a wooden crate with a white washed deer silhouette.
I know I did not need anymore crates so as I was walking around Michael’s, I noticed a wooden slate that would be perfect to mount the silhouette to. So I picked that up and some red paint and I was ready to get started.
